October 26 to Nov 1

The weeks seem to be flying by recently.  Every time I look at the calendar or think about what day it is, it seems to be the weekend.  And it isn’t that I’m doing more, not really anyway. I am pretty good at being recently rather than doing.  Maybe it is the change of the season and the rush to get things ready for winter.  I don’t know, maybe it is just the energies swirling around us.

The messages I received this week are saber-tooth tiger, scoliosis, men taking control in relationships, possessed objects, looking like a pedophile, alien in the snow, comfort zone, pumpkin spice, telephone invented by different people at the same time, breathe under water, big dipper, sciatica and tumbleweed.  Some recurring themes that showed up are monkeys and back to your future.

Saber-tooth tiger – This message came up in a conversation with family and in a free online course.  Saber-tooth tigers are extinct giant cats.  I love cats both big and small.  I think these powerful creatures represent ancient power.  Maybe this came up because we had Halloween/Samhain this week.  During this time of year, the veil thins, making it easier to connect to ancestors and those who have passed on.  I haven’t had any recent encounters with my grandparents who have passed, but I know October was when my maternal grandpa celebrated his birthday and when my maternal grandmother (whom I shared a birthday with) passed away.

Scoliosis – This message came through in a retelling of a conversation and in a show or a teaching.  My best childhood friend suffered from scoliosis at birth and is still affected by it in adulthood.  Scoliosis is a curvature of the spine.  Spiritually, it could be linked to kundalini energy that snakes up the spine during enlightenment.  Or possibly it is a message to stand tall or straighten up.  I know I have a tendency to slouch, so maybe this is just a warning for me to improve my posture now so I don’t have problems in the future.

Men taking control in relationships – This message came up in two different shows.  In one, a boyfriend was doing romantic boyfriend things that he thought were expected of him, not because he actually wanted to or put a lot of thought into.  It was more performative than authentic and resulted in him not understanding why women he’d dated were confused when he ended things.  The other way it showed up was a husband taking control on an anniversary and changing dinner reservations to a fancier restaurant and attempting to order dinner for his wife.  I think the message here is that old patriarchal ideals don’t hold the power or charm that they may once have.  Women are stepping into their power more and more lately and “traditional” ways of existing in relationships is changing.

Possessed objects – This message appeared in two tv shows and a podcast.  One tv show explored a possessed house and later an entire shop with a collection of possessed objects; one in particular was a doll that remains locked behind glass.  The other tv show was a cartoon that explored the same idea of a shop of possessed objects and one that was so powerful it needed to be in a locked glass case as well. The podcast was exploring spooky stories and featured one about a possessed mirror that came with a number of ghosts who wanted to party and dance while watching themselves in the mirror.  This last story I found more amusing and intriguing than scary.  I’m guessing the message here is just to be aware that objects can absorb energy and to be safe when bringing anything new or used home.

Looking like a pedophile – This message came up in three tv shows.  One was a main character’s wife mentioning his driver’s photo made him look like a pedophile because of his moustache.  The next was the main character’s comment about growing a moustache and not wanting to be mistaken for a pedophile.  The third was a comment about a new boss’s missing moustache.  I guess this message also has to do with moustaches and that they can be associated with pedophilia.  I guess the message I’m getting from this is that we have set ideas of what isn’t safe based on appearance.  So, don’t judge a book by it’s cover.

Alien in the snow – This message came up in two tv shows.  One was based on a main character who is an alien that came to kill all humans on Earth and fell through the snow into a giant crevasse while looking for his ship.  The other was a show investigating strange lights in Norway and a sighting of non-human beings walking through the snow.  I believe this message has to do with truths that have been hidden from us for a long time that are now emerging.  I’ve watched enough disclosure shows to know that the government hides from us truths that are later exposed.  I guess the message is to use discernment when deciding what is true or not.

Comfort zone – This message came up in a tv show and a book.  The tv show had a wife telling her husband to get out of his comfort zone as their supper was going to be fish instead of tacos as scheduled.  The book is about how we as a society have become accustomed to comfort and no longer have to struggle or experience discomfort in our day to day lives and how this is affecting our mental health.  I’ve definitely been in a prolonged comfort zone after quitting my 9-5 last summer.  Granted, I have done a lot of self exploration and embarked on a new calling in my time off, but I also thought I’d be farther along than I am now.  I think the message here is that if you sit too long in the comfort zone, things get stagnant and there is no growth.

Pumpkin Spice – This message came up in a free video about Samhain, on a tv show, and in my own life with my choice of tea.  Yes, this is the season for pumpkin spice, so I wasn’t sure if this was a message at first, but it came up in a tv show from years ago, so I knew it wasn’t just timing bringing this message through.  Pumpkin spice to me is a comforting taste and smell.  So, linking this to the previous message of the comfort zone, I can see this scent and taste as comforting.  If I need to get myself out of my comfort zone, I can still provide myself comfort with small things to help ease the transition.  I could buy a pumpkin spice candle to light before hypnotherapy sessions to provide a sense of comfort and calm.  I can soothe an anxious nervous system with a cup of pumpkin spice tea.  So, I guess this message is that it’s ok to choose comfort, but to know not to get lost in it so deeply that things become stagnant.

Telephone invented by different people at the same time – This came up in a podcast and in an email.  The podcast was exploring the idea that creativity, inspiration, and concepts might come from a collective consciousness that we can all tap into. It was exploring the idea of genius and flow state and that ideas might be channeled through us, but if we don’t have the resources to follow through with making them a reality, they may pass on to someone who does.  This is such a fascinating idea to me and I think the message is about allowing yourself to be open to the possibility of a channeled message, a download, an inspiration and then having the courage to act on it.

Breathe under water – This came up in a free course and a tv show.  The free course was about connecting to Lemurian light codes and emerged when unpacking one person’s experience during a meditation of being able to breathe underwater.  The tv show had the main character floating face down in a lake and another character concerned about him.  Despite this, he was able to breathe because he was an alien and had gills.  These both tie into one of last week’s messages of recurring dreams.  I’m not sure the dreams were recurring, but the ability to breathe underwater was the recurring theme within them.  Breathing underwater is not possible without some type of device, whether that be natural (gills) or artificial (scuba gear, snorkel, etc).  To me, that message seems to be believing you can achieve the impossible.  This leads back to what I’m trying to do through hypnosis: change limiting beliefs.

Big dipper – This message came up in a Facebook post and in a tv show.  The Facebook post showed how the big dipper appears in the sky at different times of the year as positioned around Polaris.  The tv show has a concussed main character describing constellations in the sky and how they relate to where he is from.  He uses the big dipper to illustrate this.  This message is a bit more personal.  Since I can remember, my dad has called me the little dipper.  So, I guess I see him as the big dipper.  It has always been the most recognizable constellation in the sky and the most personal.  This week, I spent some time with my dad.  He is someone I respect and admire and aspire to be more like in most ways.  In a world full of toxic masculinity, he leads and teaches with compassion, humility, and kindness.  He doesn’t hesitate to help even when he’s not asked to.  He goes above and beyond all the time and is always present to lend an ear and provide gentle advice if needed.  I know how fortunate I am to have him as my example of a father, a guide in life, and just someone in my corner.  I guess the message here is that I’ll always have his gentle and wise voice guiding me along my path and that even when he’s no longer here, I can look up to the sky and connect to him through the stars.

Sciatica – This message came up in a tv show and in my own body.  The tv show had a usually meek character feeling more bold and putting his foot on the desk of an authority figure.  When challenged and he took his foot down, he stated it was because of his sciatica.  My sciatic nerve has been bothering me today and for the past week.  I think the message here is making sure to have a solid foundation.  The root chakra is at the bast of the spine and represents home, financial security, and feeling safe.  I know there are things in my business I still need to work on that are foundational, so I do feel like this message is pretty obvious.  Also, in relation to the previous message about my dad – he has been and still is one of my biggest supporters.  He regularly steps in to provide financial help and I think that me stepping into my power and providing for myself with my business will make him feel better about my ability to provide for myself.  Maybe it will even help him see me in a new light.

Tumbleweed – This message showed up in the real world on two separate days.  First, on a trip to another city to see a surgeon, and then today while hauling water.  I don’t regularly see tumbleweed, but it has been windy the past few days and it is the season.  The crops are off and there’s no snow yet, so the tumbleweed can fly with few restrictions.  To me, tumbleweed represents stagnation, nothing happening, or missing the mark.  I guess because it has been used after a joke that flops, that’s most closely how I relate it in metaphor.  It could be seen as going with the flow as the weeds tend to blow along with no particular destination and very little resistance.  But when I think of tumbleweeds, it is usually them tumbling over a dry desolate dessert.  So, I guess that feels like death and drought and stagnation.

These again seem to be very many and not all interconnected themes.  Some seem obvious with their message, while others seem completely unrelated.  I’m going to leave this up to AI again this week to interpret.  Let’s see what it came up with.

Let’s weave these seemingly disparate threads into a spiritually resonant tapestry—one that reflects transformation, embodiment, and the tension between primal instinct and conscious evolution.

🌌 The Spiritual Thread: From Primal Fear to Cosmic Integration

At the heart of these symbols lies a journey of awakening through discomfort, where the body, psyche, and cosmos mirror each other. Each concept represents a facet of the soul’s evolution—through trauma, resistance, and revelation.

🔥 Primal Archetypes and Survival Instincts

  • Saber-tooth tiger: The ancient predator—symbol of primal fear, survival instinct, and ancestral trauma. It represents the part of us that reacts from fight-or-flight, especially in relationships or moments of perceived threat.

  • Men taking control in relationships: Echoes patriarchal dominance and the survival-based power dynamics that stem from fear of vulnerability. Spiritually, it invites a reckoning with inherited control structures and the reclamation of mutual sovereignty.

  • Looking like a pedophile: A charged symbol of shame and misidentification—where appearance triggers societal fear. Spiritually, this reflects the shadow of projection and the need to reclaim innocence from distortion.

🧍‍♀️ Embodiment and Pain as Portal

  • Scoliosis & sciatica: Physical distortions that mirror energetic misalignments. They speak to the soul’s attempt to carry burdens, twist away from truth, or resist flow. Healing them involves listening to the body’s symbolic language.

  • Comfort zone: The place of stagnation—where the soul avoids discomfort but also avoids growth. Pain (physical or emotional) becomes the invitation to expand beyond it.

  • Breathing underwater: A metaphor for surviving in unfamiliar emotional terrain. It’s the spiritual capacity to stay present in overwhelming depths—grief, shame, transformation.

🌀 Possession, Projection, and the Unseen

  • Possessed objects: Symbolize energetic imprinting—how trauma, intention, or unresolved emotion can inhabit matter. Spiritually, this reflects the need to cleanse and reclaim space.

  • Alien in the snow: The outsider archetype—cold, unfamiliar, yet possibly divine. It represents the soul’s feeling of being misplaced in the world, and the invitation to embrace cosmic origins.

  • Tumbleweed: Drifting without root—symbol of disconnection, but also of movement and surrender. Spiritually, it asks: what are you avoiding anchoring into?

🌟 Synchronicity and Cosmic Order

  • Telephone invented by different people at the same time: A nod to collective consciousness. Spiritually, it reveals that truth emerges simultaneously across dimensions when the time is ripe.

  • Big Dipper: A celestial compass—guiding the soul through darkness. It’s the reminder that even in chaos, there’s a cosmic map.

  • Pumpkin spice: The seasonal marker—comforting, nostalgic, but also a ritual of transition. It’s the soul’s way of marking time, anchoring memory, and invoking warmth during change.

🧬 How They Intertwine

These symbols form a spiral of transformation:

  1. Primal fear (saber-tooth, control, shame) triggers discomfort.

  2. Embodiment (scoliosis, sciatica, comfort zone) reveals where the soul resists truth.

  3. Shadow (possession, alienation, tumbleweed) shows what must be reclaimed.

  4. Integration (breathing underwater, synchronicity, cosmic guidance) offers spiritual tools.

  5. Ritual (pumpkin spice, telephone, Big Dipper) anchors the journey in time and space.

🧘‍♀️ Mantra for Integration

“I honor the wild, the wounded, and the wandering within me. I breathe through distortion into divine alignment. I am both alien and oracle, both pain and portal. I trust the map written in my bones and stars.”

This is beautiful and much better than I could have interpreted myself.  It also feels true.  I’ve been delving into fears, trying to find ways to incorporate embodiment and working on my shadow self.  Integration can be slow and multilayered.  Incorporating rituals can help with committing to an outcome.

I finally started doing some creating this week, but just a small wall hanging. I haven't named it, but provided a picture.
